The awareness session on “PHC Quality Assurance Regulatory Framework” was held at AFMDC Auditorium from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m organized by Department of Medical Education in collaboration with PHC. The session started with recitation of Holy Quran, followed by Naat and National Anthem. After that Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Salariya (Director Clinical Governance & Organizational Standards, PHC) was called upon stage to initiate the presentation on “PHC Quality Assurance Regulatory Framework”. He started the presentation with a brief introduction of PHC and himself, and also explained the initiative taken by PHC regarding Quality assurance in Healthcare. He gave a comprehensive presentation covering the aspects of medical errors, medical negligence, PHC Quality Assurance Regulatory Framework and PHC jurisdiction. After this a detailed question & answer session held with faculty facilitated by Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Salariya. Faculty members including Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saeed (Principal, AFMDC), Dr. Khurram Altaf (MS, AFH) Prof. Dr. Rahila Farhat (Gynecology Department), Prof. Dr. Usman Latif (Anatomy Department), Dr. Saleem (HOD ENT) and Dr. Shireen Jawed (Assoc. Prof Physiology), participated in this question & answer session. Session ended with a note of Thanks by worthy Principal, AFMDC. At the end souvenirs were given to Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Salariya (Director Clinical Governance & Organizational standards, PHC) and Dr. Imtiaz Ali (Deputy Director, PHC) by Mr. Ijaz Hussain (Executive Director & Trustee, Aziz Fatimah Trust) and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saeed (Principal, AFMDC).
