Introduction

The Biochemistry Department plays a vital role in building a strong foundation in modern biomedical sciences. Biochemistry is the study of the chemical processes that take place within living organisms. It helps us understand the structure and function of cells, tissues, and organs at the molecular level, forming a bridge between basic science and clinical medicine.

At our college, the Biochemistry Department follows the curriculum guidelines set by the University of Health Sciences (UHS) and the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). Our teaching methods focus on making complex topics easier to understand, while highlighting the central role of molecular biology in medical science.

The department is led by highly qualified and experienced teachers, some of whom hold postgraduate degrees in the field. In addition to teaching, the department actively promotes research, with strong support from the college administration. Students are encouraged to take part in research activities, which not only enhance their learning but also spark curiosity and critical thinking.
