Department of
Anatomy
Introduction
Human Anatomy forms the cornerstone of all medical education. The Department of Anatomy stands at the forefront of medical education, combining academic rigor with innovation to shape future healthcare professionals. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our outstanding academic results, forward-thinking teaching strategies, and vibrant research culture. At AFMDC, we support MBBS students in gaining a comprehensive understanding of the human body's structure. We don't just teach anatomy—we bring it to life through dedication, innovation, and continuous growth, thus, building a foundation for future medical excellence.
The Department features a well-equipped Anatomy Museum, dissection hall, and Histology laboratory, all enhanced with multimedia capabilities and modern instruments to facilitate student learning and training. The museum houses a diverse collection of synthetic models and preserved specimens, enriching students' understanding of anatomical structures. The dissection hall is a spacious, purpose-built, and well-ventilated facility that includes a fully operational mortuary. We have incorporated all the instructional strategies essential for an integrated curriculum. This enables future medical professionals to develop and refine their practical skills under expert supervision in a safe and controlled setting.
