Annual Qirat & Naat Competition 2026 Held at AFMDC
Aziz Fatimah Medical & Dental College (AFMDC), Faisalabad, organized its Annual Qirat & Naat Competition 2026, bringing together students for a meaningful and spiritually uplifting gathering centred on the recitation of the Holy Quran and expressions of love and devotion for the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
The competition provided students with an opportunity to showcase their abilities beyond the classroom while expressing their faith and devotion through Qirat and Naat. A total of 28 students from MBBS, DPT and Allied Health Sciences participated in the competition, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm, reverence and spiritual reflection.
The event was graced by Mr. Ijaz Hussain, Trustee, Aziz Fatimah Trust and Executive Director, Sitara Chemical Industries Limited (SCIL). His presence added significance to the occasion and encouraged students participating in the competition.
The competition was evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges. The Qirat competition was judged by Mrs. Zainab Asif, Ex-Clinical Psychologist, UMDC, who has also studied Dirasat-e-Deenia from Madressah Ayesha, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Hafiz Yasir Ikram, Senior Deputy Manager Commercial, AFMDC.
The Naat competition was judged by Prof. Dr. Farwa Batool Shamsi, Professor of Pathology, and Miss Ayesha Batool, Examination Officer and Religion Event Organizer.
Students from different years and programmes participated with great enthusiasm, making the competition a memorable expression of talent and devotion. The performances reflected the students’ preparation, confidence, and sincere engagement with the occasion.
The competition concluded with the recognition of students who secured the top positions in Qirat and Naat.

Naat Competition – Boys
1st Position: Hafiz Muhammad Ahmer Rafique, DPT
2nd Position: Nouman Habib, 4th Year MBBS
Qirat Competition – Girls
1st Position: Hafiza Mahnoor, 2nd Year MBBS
2nd Position: Rania Fatima Ali, 1st Year MBBS
Qirat Competition – Boys
1st Position: Hafiz Muhammad Mateen Basit, 3rd Year MBBS
2nd Position: Hafiz Muawwiz Abbas, 4th Year MBBS
