Annual Sports Week 2018 was organized by Sports Committee including Prof. Dr. SajidSaraj Director Medical Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Saleem Ahmad ENT under the Chairmanship of Vice Principal (Basic) Prof. Dr. Farah Amir Ali HOD Physiology from 19th February to 23rd February 2018.
The students participated with great enthusiasm and interest in indoor games and outdoor games. Table Tennis, Badminton, Cricket, Volley Ball, Football matches and races were held for boys and girls separately in which students of each class participated with its teams.
Final matches and races were held between the teams on closing day of Annual Sportson 23rd February. In Cricket Boys winner team was 4thYear (Jaguar)and runner up was 2ndYear (Vikings). Football Boys winner team was 2ndYear (Vikings) and runner up was 4thYear (Jaguar). In Cricket Girls winner team was Final Year (Spartan) and runner up was 3rdYear (Panthers). In Table Tennis Boys Usman Ahmed from 3rdYear (Panthers) won the prize and Umair Ahmed from Final Year (Spartans) was runner up. In Table Tennis Girls winner was IqraTasawar from 2nd Year (Vikings) and runner up was Momina Khan from Final Year (Spartans). In Badminton Boys Sarfrazof 2nd Year (Vikings) was the winner and Usman Ahmad of 3rdYear (Panthers) was the runner up. In Badminton Girls Ayesha of Final Year (Spartans) was the winner and Zunaira of 4thYear (Jaguar) was the runner up.In Boys 100 meter race Faisal Mehmood of 3rd Year (Panthers) was the winner.In Girls 100 meter race winner was Eman Fatima from 3rdYear (Panthers).In Volley Ball Boys winner was 4th Year (Jaguar) team and runner up was 3rd Year (Panthers) team. Man of the match was Aftab Ahmad khan, Senior Manager Administration. In Badminton doubles Hafiz Awais and TalhaAfzal of Final Year (Spartans). The Champion of the year 2018 in sports week was 2nd Year team (Vikings).
In last, one match was arranged between the facultyand final year class in which faculty won the match.
After final matches,closing ceremony was arranged. Trophies and certificates were distributed among winners and runners up by worthy Principal Prof. Dr. QaiserMehmood, Director Sectt. & HR Mr. IjazHussain, Vice Principal (Clinical) Prof. Dr. Noor Akbar Sial, Vice Principal (Basic) Prof. Dr. Farah Amir Ali, Senior Manager Administration Mr. Aftab Ahmad khan.
Principal gave closing remarks that these kinds of co – curricular activities enrich the physical, mental health and enhance the capabilities of the students. Principal appreciated the students who participated in different games, the administration and entire faculty for making this sports week successful event.
